The everyday problem
A report showing completed tasks may not reveal whether the work required correction later. Volume is an incomplete view when the receiving team must spend time checking or redoing outputs. A quality process should connect completion to the usefulness of the result.
A practical approach
Ask how work is sampled, reviewed, corrected, and reported. Distinguish errors found before handoff from those discovered downstream. Agree how repeated issues trigger a process change and how the two teams verify that the change addresses the cause.
Try this with your team
Review a fictional batch with both completion and rework fields. Compare what the report suggests when rework is included versus when it is omitted.
